So I jump out of the shower and hear music blaring throughout our tiny apartment. I walk out to find Rob and Vivi rockin' to a little Guns n' Roses ditty called "Welcome to the Jungle". For those of you who didn't have the good fortune of partaking of the hair band era, this is a ROCK song. It's heavy on the electric guitar and has loads of scream-singing. Rob was bobbing his head and singing along while Viv bounced up and down and side to side waving her hands all over the place. I wish I had a video camera because these pictures don't do it justice, but at least it's documented.

Welcome to the Jungle!
While most parents sing their children to sleep with lullabies or church hymns, Rob has, on occasion, been known to replace the traditional "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star" with a hair band power ballad or two (sadly, this genre is peppered throughout our iTunes library as Rob and I are both closet rockers!). I always laugh about this, but it pales in comparison to the hilarity I walked in on a few nights ago.

So funny. Rob is a fun dad.
Rock ON!!! That's awesome. I'm sorry you didn't have video, I would've liked to have seen it.
Hey Nat! I'm finally catching up on your blog. I'm dying of laughter! Make sure Rob stays away from the AC/DC - because my "theme song" is definitely not child appropriate! You can tell him I said so! "dirty deeds..."
